Eisenhower dollars were minted from 1971 to 1978 for general circulation, could of been in hopes that it would replace the paper dollar, retailer and citizens never really utilized for retail.
- Minted in Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco.
- Clad coinage with the exception of the 'S' Mint mark in Brown and Blue U.S. Mint packaging. Then made of 40 % silver from 1971 to 1977.
